Eurasia Merit Postgraduate Scholarship at University of Sheffield in UK, 2016

University of Sheffield is pleased to offer range of scholarships to students of high academic ability for 2016 entry. These scholarships are available to undertake postgraduate programme at the university.
The university aims to assist international students who require financial assistance with scholarships.
The university is ranked 97th in the world and 15th in the UK according to the 2015-16 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

There are high entrance requirements for masters degree programmes at Sheffield which reflects the quality of the university. Applicants may be required to take an internationally recognized English language test such as IELTS.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for international students to pursue masters degree programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the university, all offering a diverse range of courses.
Scholarship Award: Each scholarship is worth 50% of the annual postgraduate tuition fee. The scholarships will take the form of a fee reduction.

Eligibility: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the supporting statement. The final decision will be made by an academic panel. To be eligible for the scholarship:
-Students must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes, plus be a national of, or permanently domiciled in one of the countries.
-This scholarship is available for students starting their postgraduate taught masters degree in any faculty at the University in September 2016.

List of Countries: Russian Federation, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a good undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification, Three years to five years’ postgraduate work experience. This should include appropriate experience as a manager or in a supervisory role and on occasion, the university may consider delegates without a first degree but with significant management experience
English Language Requirements: Applicants may be required to take an internationally recognized English language test such as IELTS. Applicants need IELTS 7.0 with no component below 6.

-Applicants have to write a personal statement.
How to Apply: All students who are eligible for a scholarship and have accepted their offer before the closing date will be automatically considered. If students wish to be considered for this scholarship they need to apply online, the application link will be distributed to eligible students by email from January onwards. Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
Application Deadline: The deadline for applications is 22nd April 2016. The results will be announced by 27th May 2016.
